This mixed‑media animation project explores the intersection of movement, materiality, and cultural contrast. Inspired by the music video Lahu Muh Lag Gaya, I isolated selected frames and wove their printed imagery with denim and tweed—modern, textured materials that disrupt the original’s ornate traditional aesthetics. The woven pieces were then re‑photographed and reanimated as a stop‑motion sequence, creating a layered dialogue between texture and motion. Influenced by Jasmine Dowling’s practice of transforming flat visuals into tactile, multidimensional compositions, this work reimagines weaving through the lens of animation, bringing rhythm, depth, and unexpected materiality to the moving image.
